but we knocked out packing in basically two hours with literally one box still open. Thanks a ton, helpers! That was way less painful than I had expected. Then we played Smash Bros. and somehow unlocked (not a spoiler) Sonic, although I'm still not sure how.

Lowe's called and the carpet will come in next Wednesday, which means installation hopefully the week after that and then we can finally move in for real. Although before that we'll have the TV/computers, kitchen stuff, and a hot tub - what more could one really ask for?

I realized this weekend that I don't know any good local Italian places (preferably close to us) - anyone have suggestions? The only Italian I can think of is Olive Garden, which is fine but it would be nice to try somewhere else.

I love Carrabba's, but I'm not familiar with their Austin locations. It's a chain, though, so googling should tell you if there's one near you.

Gino's on N. Mays , about 1/2 mile north of Hesters Crossing, in Round Rock. It's a Mom & Pop place, but they have good food, great service, and decent pricing.

For "fast food" Italian, there is a Fazoli's right behind the Kinko's on Louis Henna, just west of I-35.

Macaroni Grill is on the northeast corner of I-35 and Louis Henna, just past the Home Depot.

Also, there is a place in Pflugerville called the Venice Cafe (907 FM 685) that is supposed to be yummy. :)

Also, Baris Pizza (1501 Pecan St W Ste 100) in Pflugerville has a nice Italian style menu.

I'm a Fazoli's fan too, but for a full restaurant, it's Reale's on the SW corner of Anderson Mill and 183. Packed on Friday/Saturday night, closed on Sundays.

I've gone to Buca di Beppo (behind D&B) a few times in the past. It's really best with a group of people because they serve family style. I don't remember the food that well (because I don't tend to remember food. Or anything else), but I do remember that we once got reservations for the 'kitchen booth'. They actually have a booth in the kitchen and you can watch the staff prepare the meals. And they occasionally will slip you a taste of things...

Yeah, we're anxious to be moved too, although the unpacking will have to be pushed back over several weeks because of the carpet. :(
