So I got a new camera for Christmas (it's great!), but my old camera works fine - anyone want it? It's a Canon PowerShot A510, 3.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, flash, etc. I'll even throw in a spare pair of batteries and battery charger, and a little carrying case. I just realized that I don't have the extra mini USB to USB connector, but they're like $8 at Fry's. Here's a picture:

Let me know if you want it!
The trip to see our new cousin Eli last weekend was good - here's David holding him:

(does linking pictures in LJ posts like this piss people off?)

Taking the day off today, hopefully will get lots of wedding stuff done!

We might be interested. Your camera sounds roughly equivalent to the one we have now (some version of the Kodak Easyshare from 2003) that I am DYING to replace, but if its response time (time between pushing the button and it actually taking a picture) and time between pictures are faster than "excruciatingly slow" we might be interested. If no one else has taken this off your hands by the next time we see you, I'd like to try it out and see if I like it any better than mine. But if you get a more immediate and/or local taker, feel free to hand it off to them.

Cool. I switched to that camera from a Kodak Easyshare and the response time felt much better, so that might work for y'all.

If you're coming up to Austin sometime, let me know so I can get it in the right person's hands :-)

Give it to llemma - she sounds like she needs it more than we do! :)

YES DESPERATELY

SO much my kids do that I wish I could record to share with outsiders and to let them see how wonderful they are.

(Check out facebook, you'll see a link to a little of how adorable they are on the rare occasions when I can borrow somebody's camera!)

You are a winner! I don't suppose you're planning on being in Austin anytime soon?

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid not. But I'll gladly pay shipping if that's convenient for you.

Those pictures are small -- almost thumbnail size. That's fine. If they were big, or if you put up twenty of them, I'd prefer they be behind a cut tag.

Cool. I will keep that in mind.

Nephew not cousin, right?
Mini-pictures are fine, except for the stupid snapshot thing, which isn't really your fault.

Hehe, yeah.

("snapshot thing"?)

The thing where when you hover your mouse over a link (or in this case, a picture that's a link), it pops up a preview of what's behind the link. Of course, since I never use standard systems or browsers, it never works properly and just means that I get random popup things when I move my mouse around.

Oh, I hate that crap! I always turn it off...
