These formations are known as "soda straws" for obvious reasons. They're also very fragile - nearby vibration can easily shatter them.

A decent view of the way we climbed up. I think we climbed about 120 vertical feet in this room (along a path).

This is the less traveled cave, and you can see the soda straws are very long - up to 9 feet!

Looking down onto the crystal river. This is the path the original explorers walked along - if you look closely you can see a few muddy footprints they left :-)
